Simply Shelby by Holly had the honor of photographing this adorable baby girls newborn session. This sweet babe has the cutest rolls and was such a doll for her entire session. She spent most of the time asleep but Holly was able to capture a couple of pictures with her eyes open. She decided she needed a snack about half way through her session and Holly took that opportunity to get some beautiful shots with her eyes open. A lot of clients ask what the ideal time frame is to do a newborn session. And its honestly up to you, your comfort level, and you and babies own personal birth story. Generally speaking if all goes well, there’s no complications or nicu time, then we typically will say 3-14 days is the ideal window to really capture that newborn look. After a few weeks those sweet babes start to look more like babies than newborns. But at the same time that window of time doesn’t always work for mommas or babies so when ever is the best time for you, is the best time!
