Adding a new baby, this past fall, to our family has been one of the most amazing things we have ever done. Yes, there are hard days but there are more good days than hard moments. Having a newborn and running your own business can be tricky sometimes trying to meet the needs of not only your little one, but your own postpartum needs too. Then you have the needs of your associates and backend team, as well as your own clients. It can be hard to find that balance unless you are intentional about your time and where its spent each day. I am slowly working my way back behind the camera. I did a really small, one day Christmas mini session and it was just what my heart needed. Seeing my clients, getting behind the camera, and doing what I love always reminds me why I started this small business to begin with. More than anything its the flexibility to be a wife and mom, while also doing what I love with the people I love the most. I can’t wait to see where 2024 takes me and the Simply Shelby team. I have a feeling its going to be a good one!
