One of the things we’ve been learning about is how to use storytelling in our photography. Its a different way to look at a session and capture more fluid, natural day to day interactions vs rigid or posed photographs. Do most families want at least one forward facing, everyone smiling photo to hang in their home, generally yes. But after that we want to capture pictures of real life. We want to find the moments that really show off your kids personalities today. We want to sneak a shot of a subtle but meaningful kiss, a simple glance or gentle touch by tiny fingers or wrinkled hands. We want to provide a whole gallery full of literal memories so that time in your life is cemented not only in your mind but on film forever. One of my associate family photographers is Simply Shelby by Liesel. She works so hard to provide a storytelling gallery and it really shows, especially with this super fun family session taken in downtown Ogden. These locations aren’t your typical session choices, but they are so fun and really tell a story about this little family. I just love how well they turned out. Every single frame has so many beautiful details to unfold and each and everyone of them has their own story to tell. Its a beautiful way that photography is going and I am all here for it!
