We got to celebrate Mothers Day a few weeks ago and I had a couple associates who offered Mothers Days minis because of it. I know that Mothers Day can be a hard day for some people, due to a whole bag full of different reasons. I won’t ever be able to accurately articulate feelings for this day because they belong to each individual and why they might struggle or love Mothers Day. And even for me it can feel like a day full of mixed emotions.
Most everyone who has been around for awhile knows that I lost my own mother to breast cancer when I was younger and didn’t have a ton of pictures of her for me to keep. Having mothers being in pictures is a big deal for me. Its one of the main reasons I love family sessions so much because mom gets to step out from behind the camera, where we typically find her, and she gets to be in the photo with her kids too. Thats why I love that there were Mothers Day minis offered again this year. It brings me immense joy to see moms with their kids, making memories together and getting pictures with them so they can have a picture of their mom for years and years to come.
This beautiful Mothers Day mini session was photographed by my super kind associate Simply Shelby by Emily Kaye.
